What size wall art should I hang above a sofa or bed?

The artwork (or grouped artworks together) should span roughly two-thirds of the furniture below. For a 2.2 m sofa that means a piece, or arrangement, around 1.4-1.6 m wide. The bottom of the frame is usually best at 15-25 cm above the sofa back.

At what height should wall art be hung?

For art on an empty wall, the centre of the piece should sit roughly 145-155 cm above the floor, which is average eye level. Above furniture, the rule changes - hang lower so the piece visually connects with the furniture beneath it.

Do prints come framed or unframed?

All of our wall art comes framed in a solid aluminium frame and ships with the installation tools you need to hang it. There is nothing extra to buy or order from a framer - it is ready to go on the wall straight out of the box.

Will colours look the same in my room as on screen?

Very close, but not identical. Screens and lighting both shift colour, especially in warm/cool whites, and a print under a 2700K lounge lamp will read warmer than the same print on a daylight-balanced monitor. We do not post printed colour samples - if exact colour is critical, view the piece in person at our Rosedale showroom (by appointment).
