Should my armchair match the sofa or contrast with it?
Either works. A matching armchair makes a small lounge read as cohesive; an intentionally different colour, fabric or silhouette adds character and is the safer choice if you plan to swap pieces over time. As a rule we recommend keeping either the colour family or the style line consistent, so the room still reads as one space.
What seat height is most comfortable for reading and relaxing?
For long reading sessions, a seat height of 40-45 cm with a slightly reclined back and supportive armrests is comfortable for most adults. Lower lounge-style armchairs (35-40 cm) feel more relaxed but are harder to get out of for older users. Each product page lists seat height so you can compare against your existing seating.
Are your armchairs delivered fully assembled?
Most armchairs arrive fully assembled. A small number of designs ship with the legs detached to reduce shipping volume; in that case the legs simply screw in by hand and no tools are required.
How do I clean an upholstered armchair?
Vacuum weekly with an upholstery brush. Blot spills immediately with a clean dry cloth - do not rub. For most performance fabrics a mild soap solution and a damp microfibre cloth handles everyday marks. Always test on a hidden area first and avoid soaking the foam.
